Wind farm to support 400 construction jobs


A major wind farm project is being proposed south of Coolah. The so-called Valley of the Winds project is an 800-megawatt wind farm which would be located on cleared grazing land between Coolah and Leadville in the Warrumbungle Shire.

The Mudgee Guardian is reporting the company behind the project, developer UPC\AC Renewables Australia, says it will generate enough energy to power 590,000 homes per year in NSW. 

The company also says the project is expected to create up to 400 jobs during the construction phase and 50 full-time positions once complete.
